Quick update of the challenge

Ok so as you can see i have started running again with the aim to run the Great South Run in 2017.

I also have another challenge that I have set myself which is to beat my first time at the 2012 Great South Run which was a good few years ago now. This also means that the challenge that i have set myself is even more than I first thought, Eeek!

So here you go this is what i have to beat….

A very Achey Day 2

Thats day 2 done and had to push myself out of the door as my legs where still very sore from the first run. Did a bit if stretching and got right into it though.

Found that the run again ‘still following the C25k app’ was pretty easy going although again I pushed myself when the app finished at around 3k.

The last part of the run or the last .5k was pretty tough with my legs having enough.

Still all done now.

New Challenge

Today I started a new challenge, well a rekindled challenge in preparing for the Great South Run 2017 in an effort to beat my one and only time.

Today was the first run, jog, walk that I have done in over 2 years and to be honest I’m really pleased with my performance. I found that my breathing recovery was much better than I imagined and I still kept a good rythem it took me to achieve when I first started running.

I started the training using the C25k app that so many have used with success in the past, when I got completed the first day of training I found that I still had more in the tank so pushed on doing 1 Min runs with 1 Min walks until the end.

My thinking on how to fix twitter

Over the last few months I keep hearing on how twitter is a failing company that has no control over its content and users.

I have been doing some thinking and figure that this could be a good step in the right direction in creating a safer, easier to control platform for everyone. These are my thoughts only so some people may not agree.

New verified Users

My first focus would be on the verified users as I don’t think that this is being utilized enough at the moment.
I would look at adding in a few more levels to the verification so that everyone can get verified and therefore validate who they are, this will help with the creation of fake accounts in twitter.
The other categories should be Manufacture’s and Celebrity’s and that s it…

The new verified users can have a different colour icons depending on what they are verified for example

The main thinking is once you have been verified and confirmed as you really being you then it gives more control over what and who you can see.

Controlling your content

So the first step is now completed and you are now a verified user, what should happen now is you can go into your settings and turn off showing non-verified users and\or block them. This way if you are a spam user and not showing who you really are then you cannot abuse or spam other users.

Secondly depending on how you want to use twitter you can also turn on or off the other categories of verified users giving you more control over the content that you see.
